OUR SCHOLARSHIPS
Founded in 2021, the Millicent G. Graves Memorial Scholarship Program was established to continue her legacy of giving back to the community, to honor her life, and keep her memory alive. Millicent's giving spirit allowed her to touch the lives of many people around her. She believed in the power of education, thus inspiring this scholarship fund.

The Millicent G. Graves Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to female students who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, their community, or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities. These are all characteristics that Millicent, herself, displayed.
HBCU STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship $1,000 will be awarded to a female student who has been accepted at to an accredited historically black four-year college or university.

WCC COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOOK SCHOLARSHIP
The WCC Book Scholarship was established to provide a deserving female aid to purchase required college textbooks to successfully complete college courses at Wilson Community College, where Millicent served on the Board of Trustees. The scholarship will be a one-time award of $500.

NCCU BOOK SCHOLARSHIP
The NCCU Book Scholarship was established to provide a deserving female aid to purchase required college textbooks to successfully complete college courses at Millicent's alma mater, North Carolina Central University. The scholarship will be a one-time award of $1000.
