JAN GARDNER
Board Member
Gardner is a Health Center Administrator and Legal Nursing Consultant. She holds a Bachelors degree in nursing from Barton College and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration/Management from Pfeiffer University.
KEN GRAVES
Board Member
Graves is the Assistant City Manager of Greenville, NC. He holds a Master of Arts in Geography and Planning with a concentration in Urban Planning from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from North Carolina Central University. Ken is Millicent's loving husband of 20 years.
ALI GOINS
Board Member
Goins is a Software Engineering Manager at Avalara. He holds a Bachelor's degree from NC A&T State University in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of Royal Heart Masonic lodge and participates in community theater. He is the brother of Millicent.
DEBRA GRAVES
Board Member
Debra Graves is a native of North Carolina. After she obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology at UNC-Greensboro she entered the United States Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Program at NC A&T State University. Following four years of active duty, she obtained a Juris Doctorate at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. Debra retired after thirty years of practice in North Carolina as a federal criminal defense attorney, United States Air Force Reserve JAG officer, and state prosecutor. She retired from the US Air Force Reserve as a Lt Colonel. The Millicent G. Graves Memorial Scholarship holds a very special place in her heart as Millicent is Debra’s beloved sister-in-law.
CANDANCE GOINS
Board Member
Goins is a graduate of NC A&T State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She holds a Master's of Business Administration from Meredith College. Her other community affiliations include membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Raleigh-Wake Chapter of the NC A&T State University Alumni Association. She holds an At-Large Director position for the Junior League of Raleigh and sits on the Meredith College School of Business Advisory Board. Candance is excited to bring her talents to the scholarship team. She is Millicent's sister-in-law and sorority sister.
